SOLO Independencia is a space that houses Colección SOLO and the projects linked to it. The venue showcases the collection through temporary exhibitions that rotate the works alongside a permanent exhibition. It also explores collaborations and curatorial projects strongly connected to the collection.
Open to the public free of charge through guided tours, it is dedicated to discovering the collection, promoting today’s art, and fostering dialogues around contemporary art, research, and experimentation.
Designed by architect Juan Herreros and awarded in 2018 by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM), the SOLO Independencia building features a labyrinthine design that evolved alongside the growth of the collection. Its architecture allows for the combination of the permanent exhibition with temporary shows and projects in dialogue with the collection.
