SOLO Castanedo

Castanedo (Cantabria)

Located in Castanedo (Cantabria), a small town in northern Spain, SOLO Castanedo is a former dairy farm transformed into a space dedicated to artistic creation, production, and exhibition. With a strong commitment to fostering contemporary culture, even in rural areas, it serves as an activator of artistic and cultural initiatives.

SOLO Castanedo functions as an artist residency, featuring a studio occupied on a rotating basis by different artists, alongside an exhibition and event space. It also includes a workshop, currently used by Lemon Surfboards, and the working studio of artist Juan Díaz-Faes, who is part of the Artistic Support Programme.

Additionally, it is the headquarters of LeCluf, an initiative that merges music—particularly club culture—with the ecosystem of spaces and artists within SOLO.
