SOLO AI Award

SOLO AI AWARD is dedicated to exploring the intersection of contemporary creative practices and artificial intelligence through a global competition focusing on digital and new media art.

For its third edition, SOLO AI ’25 AWARD opens an international call with the aim of funding an unpublished artistic production proposal with a value of €10,000. The work will be presented in the new SOLO space, which will open its doors later this year.
Endowed with 10,000 euros, the award will reward artistic projects that investigate the relationship between new AI architectures and human cognitive and linguistic processes, raising questions about the transformation of the world through language models and the possible emergence of a collective superintelligence.

The call, which starts in February, will be open until April, after which a jury will select the winning project, which will be able to present the piece produced during the month of November in Madrid.

      • Call open until April:

Artists and collectives from all over the world will be able to present their work until April. In June, the jury will choose the winning project, highlighting those that address AI both as a tool and as a theme, with an investigative and critical approach.

      • Exhibition in November and program of activities:

An international jury will select the winning project, the final result of which will be presented and exhibited in Madrid during the month of November, accompanied by a program of national and international events to accompany the award.

Previous editions

In previous editions, the prize was awarded to Lars Nagler (2023) and Gregor Petrikovic (2024), whose work Sincerely, Victor Pike stood out for its exploration of memory and human relationships through AI. In 2024 the award was supported by Goldsmiths University (London), Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), Google Arts&Culture and Artnet.
