Shinuk Suh works across sculpture, kinetic installation and cartoon-derived visual language to explore how bodies, labour and identity are shaped within contemporary systems of production. Combining metal, silicone and 3D-printed elements, his practice addresses the tension between human fragility and mechanical persistence, often negotiating questions of dignity, exhaustion and repetition.
Suh has presented solo exhibitions in London, Seoul and Madrid. Recent and past solo shows include We have the same dawn and night at Gallery2, Seoul (2024); Veiled Memories, Daniel Benjamin Gallery, London (2023); Invites: Shinuk Suh, Zabludowicz Collection, London (2022); Playthings, FOUNDRY SEOUL (2022); Post-Human Syndrome, BEERS London (2021); Man(u)fractured, Unit1 Gallery | Workshop, London (2019); and Insignificant Tension, Daniel Benjamin Gallery, London (2019). In 2025, he presents his first solo exhibition in Spain at Movimiento 37, SOLO, Madrid.
He is a graduate of Slade School of Fine Art (MFA Sculpture, Distinction) and Central Saint Martins (BA Fine Art, First Class Honours), and has been shortlisted for the Gilbert Bayes Award (2021/22) and the BEERS Annual Open / Summer Marathon (2020).
