Macho Femme is an American multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the relationship between scale, space, identity, and performance. Working across miniature environments, installation, and live experiences, the artist creates spaces that blur the boundaries between artwork, stage set, and imaginary architecture.
A distinctive feature of Macho Femme’s work is the use of miniature homes and constructed interiors. These reduced-scale environments are not presented simply as models; they function as settings that invite viewers to imagine stories, characters, and situations beyond what is immediately visible. By shifting familiar domestic spaces into an artistic context, Macho Femme creates a tension between intimacy and spectacle, transforming the miniature into a vehicle for larger questions about contemporary culture and identity.

This approach was particularly evident in Macho Corps: Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, presented at Superchief Gallery LA in June 2026. The project brought together original miniature houses, full-scale installations, interactive games, hidden performances, and other contributions, creating an environment designed to be entered and experienced rather than simply viewed.
Through this combination of detailed construction and theatrical presentation, Macho Femme uses space as a form of storytelling.
